Hello and welcome – my name is Sarah Jane Lusk and I am an accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor.
People come to counselling for all kinds of reasons but all human beings are shaped, formed and influenced by and within the context of relationship. The therapeutic relationship provides the tools to repair current pain, past hurts, and traumas. Therapy allows the space for the client to explore and to be heard in a trusting, safe, non-judgemental and confidential way.
Therapy provides the professional tools to resolve and move on from what is currently problematic. It explores new ways of being in the world, skills to cope with life’s challenges, perspectives on healthy and unhealthy relationships and it develops the capacity for self-reflection. This in turn enhances greater self-esteem and also the ability to access personal resources when needed.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist; this means that I respect the inherent value and experience of each client. I work on different levels of affect, cognition, behaviours and psychological levels of functioning. Integrative Psychotherapy is a process of becoming whole and healthy again as we were born to be.
My counselling and psychotherapy referrals come from doctors, healthcare practitioners and from self-referrals.
